Perancangan Prototype Sistem Kontrol Kadar PH dan Ketinggian Air Pada Budidaya Ikan Air Tawar Di Pembibitan Ikan Dohar Butar-Buta
Abstract
Budidaya perikanan air tawar sekarang sedang banyak dikembangkan dikarenakan banyak permintaan ikan
untuk dikonsumsi. Bapak Dohar merupakan seorang pengusaha pembibitan ikan yang menjadi mitra projek
pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Usaha pembudidayaan Ikan Air Tawar Di Pembibitan Ikan Dohar ButarButar telah berlangsung sejak awal tahun 2000 dan kini sedang berfokus untuk bisnis ternak ikan air tawar.
Kegiatan operasional pembibitan ikan air tawar yang dilakukan seperti mengurus bibit dan
pengembangbiakan ikan masih dilakukan secara tradisional sehingga memerlukan banyak waktu seperti
melakukan pengecekan kualitas air seperti kadar pH, memantau tingkat ketinggian air, melakukan
pembersihan ketika air keruh secara rutin, dan sebagainya. Proses pembibitan yang dilakukan secara
tradisional ini memiliki permasalahan utama dalam pengecekan kualitas air secara rutin yang terkadang
terlambat sehingga bibit ikan akhirnya mati dan menimbulkan kerugian. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pngabdian
masyarakat yang dilakukan berupa penerapan prototype sistem kontrol kadar pH air dan ketinggian air pada
budidaya ikan air tawar di pembibitan ikan Dohar Butar-Butar. Perancangan prototype sistem kontrol kadar
pH air dan ketinggian air pada budidaya ikan air tawar akan dilakukan pada kolam ikan dengan
mengotomatisasikan proses penambahan air bersih jika pH air tidak dalam range minimum, proses pergantian
air kolam ikan apabila terjadi hujan, dan surutnya air kolam karena cuaca panas.
Freshwater fish farming has been widely developed due to the high demand for fish consumption. Pak Dohar
is a fish hatchery entrepreneur who is a partner in a community service project. The freshwater fish farming
business at the Dohar Butar-Butar Fish Hatchery has been running since the early 2000s and is now focusing
on freshwater fish farming. Freshwater fish hatchery operations such as seed rearing and fish breeding are still
carried out traditionally, so it takes a long time to carry out tasks such as checking water quality, including pH
levels, monitoring water levels, and routine cleaning when the water becomes cloudy, and so on. Traditional
methods used in hatchery operations face major problems regarding timely routine water quality checks,
which sometimes result in delayed detection of problems and, consequently, death of fry, leading to financial
losses. Therefore, community service activities include implementing a prototype system for controlling
water pH levels and water content in freshwater fish farming at the Dohar Butar-Butar Fish Hatchery. The
design of a prototype system for controlling water pH levels and water content in freshwater fish farming will
be carried out in fish ponds by automating the process of adding clean water if the water pH falls below the
minimum limit, regulating water exchange in fish ponds. Pond fish when it rains and prevent the water level
from dropping due to hot weather.
